What We Offer

Our office is open and accepting both telehealth and in-office visits! We are restricting the number of patients seen per hour to lower the quantity of clients inside the practice at all times, but we are offering extended hours for appointments. Additionally, we have installed an advanced air filtration system to protect our patients and team members. We require that all patients, visitors and providers use a mask for the duration of their time in our practice. What to know about your upcoming visit to Kessel Dermatology:

Frequently Asked Questions

Patch testing is a quick and reliable method of determining the specific irritant causing a contact allergy (also called Allergic Contact Dermatitis). When a client has a recurring rash that will not subside after standard topical treatments, our team will usually use allergic patch testing to determine the cause. After your initial consultation with our specialists, they will assemble patches from what we believe could be possible allergens. At your next appointment, the provider will apply the small patches with trace amounts of the presumed allergens and assess your skin's response. As soon as the results are in, you will know which items to avoid and which you can continue to safely utilize.

What Is Allergic Patch Testing?

Also called Mohs micrographic surgery, Mohs surgery is a skin cancer treatment that involves using a microscope to analyze the layers of tissue underneath a cancerous sore. This sophisticated method allows the surgeon to only eliminate as much tissue as is needed to get rid of the malignant cells, therefore doing the least amount of damage to the skin as possible. At Kessel Dermatology, we have a state-of-the-art tissue processing lab on-site that allows us to give our clients quick and effective treatment right in our office.
